Lorry and bus training for Bedford with an approved local partner school, and two LGV test centres, each about 22 miles away by road.
Bedford sits where the A6 meets the A421, which runs west to Milton Keynes and M1 junction 13 and east to the A1, with the A428 skirting the town. Asda, Argos and Sainsbury's have distribution centres at Marsh Leys in Kempston, and Universal got permission in December 2025 to start building its UK resort near Stewartby, with completion expected in 2031. Bedford's own DVSA centre does not test lorries or buses. For those, Northampton LGV and Leighton Buzzard (Stanbridge Road) are both about 22 miles by road. You train one-to-one in a full-size vehicle with an approved partner school local to the area, not at our Kent centre, and the training centre, test centre, dates and full price are confirmed in writing before you pay.

Two are almost exactly the same distance. Northampton LGV is about 22 miles by road, and so is Leighton Buzzard (Stanbridge Road). Bedford's own DVSA centre on Manton Lane tests cars, not lorries or buses. We confirm your test centre in writing at booking.
Yes. Asda, Argos and Sainsbury's have distribution centres at Marsh Leys in Kempston, beside the A421. Universal has permission to build its UK resort near Stewartby, with completion expected in 2031, and a new A421 link road is part of the upgrades. Once you qualify, we offer introductions to our employer network.
Central Bedfordshire Council offers free Category D bus licence training to Bedford Borough residents who hold a car licence, delivered by a separate provider. Bedford and Central Bedfordshire also share £1.5m of Skills Bootcamp funding for 2026/27 covering transport and logistics, but an HGV course is not confirmed. Our funding page has more.
Every course price is on our pricing page, and DVSA test fees are included. We confirm the full all-in price in writing before you pay anything, along with the training centre, test centre and dates, so you can compare like for like.
